OFBB2013 rough draft submission format
In case anyone wants to submit their fic early, here are the guidelines. :D
The deadline for drafts is August 12. This will also be the closing date for artist sign-ups. So long as it's August 12 somewhere in the world, we will accept your draft and/or sign up.
Writers, this is what we're going to need from you:
Email your draft to originalbigbang@gmail.com with OFBB rough draft - username in the subject line and your story as a .doc, .rtf, or .txt attachment. The username is important, so we can keep track of submissions.
In the body of the e-mail, you MUST include the following header (including the coding) - please make sure to put your info AFTER the </strong> tag:
Please Note: You MUST include warnings for rape, dub-con, incest, graphic self-harm/suicide and character death. You do NOT need to warm for slash or het (that information can go with the ratings). Any other warnings you wish to make are at your own discretion.
Regarding the summary: Keep in mind that this is not the summary that will be posted with your story - instead, this is the hook with which to tempt a mixer into choosing your story above all others. Make it long, make it paperback-y, give away elements of plot (the only ones who'll see it are potential mixers or artists), and sell that story.
Remember, this does not have to be a polished, completely final draft, but it must be over 10,000 words and be reasonably complete in that it has a beginning, middle and end (missing scenes are OK, but you MUST have some sort of outline that will let the artist know what happens in them). You will receive a confirmation email from us (check your spam folders, and if you still do not receive a confirmation, let us know), and then you'll have until September 28 to fill in missing scenes, get the story beta'd and have your draft finalized!
