All right, after all these delays and postponements, we're finally ready! Posting for this year's reversebang will be this Sunday, June 16. Because there are only four art/story sets to be posted, we're not setting any kind of schedule, so post whenever you want!

WRITERS: you don't have to wait for the master post to be made, just post your story to your DW (or your LJ, or a community, or a website, whichever you prefer - it just has to be accessible and not locked) any time on Sunday and drop your artist an e-mail (you all have the contact information for your artists, if you don't, let us know) with the link to the entry. Once the master post is up, we ask that you please include a link to it in your entry, so that people can leave comments for the artist as well. If you wrote more than one story for the same piece, if they're both connected, you can post them in the same entry. If they're not connected, or if they're for different pieces, please make a separate entry for each.

Writers, please remember to use the header that was provided in the story submission post - the whole header has to be in your story, even if some parts of it end up as "none" or "n/a."

Artists, when you're making the posts, please use your writer's username rather than their name - this will make it easier in compiling the master list for the year.

As in previous years, these master posts will be made by the artists rather than the writers. We will be sending the stories to the artists, so you can see what your writers have come up with, and get the headers from their fics, however, you will not be posting the story itself. You'll be posting your art to the comm, and then putting in links to the stories. If you do not have a link from your writer by the time you're making your post, put in an ETA and add the link later, when you get it.

When posting on Sunday, please use the following master post template:

Reversebang fic submission format

Hello, darlings! Because your mods are swamped with life in meatspace, we're pushing the due date for the reversebang stories to June 5th to give us all a little more breathing room. Posting will run over next weekend, June 7th-9th. Since there are only three artists, and it's the artists who'll be making the master posts to the comm, we're not going to set up a posting schedule. Once we have all your stories (June 5th is the absolute deadline, there will be no late submissions accepted), we'll send them out to the artists and they'll make the posts whenever is good for them. Writers, you are free to post your stories to you own journals after the master posts with your stories have gone up.

If your story is all ready to go, here's what you do:

please make sure your subject line is OFBB reversebang - fic - your username - art #
in the body of the e-mail, include the following header:

Title: Author: Artist: Genre: Pairings: Word Count: Rating: Warnings: Summary:

Hi everyone! The sign-ups for writers for the reversebang are now closed. Artists, you have until Monday, April 15th, to send us your art. Please follow the template in this post in your submissions. As soon as we get all the art in, we'll put up a post with previews of the artwork, so authors can decide on what art they'd like to write for. The comments on the post will be disabled. On April 17th, we'll open the post to comments.

We can’t wait to see all the awesome stuff you’ve made! :D

In a change-up from the regular big bang, these master posts will be made by the artists rather than the writers. We will be sending the stories to the artists, so you can see what your writers have come up with, and get the headers from their fics, however, you will not be posting the story itself. You'll be posting your art to the comm, and then putting in links to the stories. The writers will post their stories in their own journals, and provide the artists with the links.

When your posting date rolls around, please use the following master post template:

If you have a Dreamwidth account, please make a master post to the community at DW as well, since there's no way to automatically crosspost communities.

Since there's no auto crosspost between Dreamwidth and LJ, we encourage artists to post to both DW/LJ comms - remember, you can login to DW via openID.

WRITERS: On the day of your post, you don't have to wait for the master post to be made, just post your story to your LJ (or your Dreamwidth, or a community, or a website, whichever you prefer - it just has to be accessible and not locked) and drop your artist an e-mail (you all have the contact information for your artists, if you don't, let us know) with the link to the entry. OFBB 2012 reversebang art submission guidelines

As soon as we get all the art in, we'll put up a post with previews of the artwork, so authors can decide on what art they'd like to write for. The comments on the post will be disabled.

On April 24th, we'll open the post to comments. At the moment, we've got twice as many writers as artists, so the way things stand now, each piece of art will be getting claimed twice, but each author will be claiming one piece of art. This will of course depend on how many artworks we receive, and we'll make a note of it in the claims post.

- Make sure the subject of your email is OFBB 2012 reversebang - art - your username
- Attach your artwork in a web-friendly format (.jpg, .png, .gif, etc.) - remember that your artwork must be at least 500px either horizontally or vertically.
- A thumbnail of your art with a maximum height of 300 px - this is what we'll use in the claiming post.
- In the body of the e-mail, copy and paste the text below and add the relevant information. Remember that warnings must be included for: non-con, dub-con, minors (under 18) in sexual situations, and suicide. Warnings will be hidden under spoiler text, and identifying notes will be omitted.

- If you've done more than one piece, please send them all in one e-mail; if you did separate ones, please send them in separate e-mails.
- Send your e-mails to originalbigbang@gmail.com.
